Our roof cleaning process removes moss, dirt and built-up residue without the use of jet washing, which can be too aggressive for some roof tiles. Instead, we use specialist hand tools to clean the roof manually, giving us greater control and allowing us to achieve a thorough clean while treating the tiles with much greater care.
Moss can hold moisture against roof tiles and, over time, may contribute to cracking, movement and general deterioration. Heavy moss growth can also work its way into gutters and downpipes, causing blockages and drainage problems. Keeping the roof clear helps protect the tiles and allows rainwater to drain away properly.
Moss, lichen and algae thrive in damp conditions and can gradually spread across roof tiles where moisture and light are present. Once established, this growth can continue to build up over time, leaving the roof looking tired and increasing the amount of debris collecting across the surface.
After all moss and dirt have been removed from your roof, we apply a highly effective biocide treatment to your tiles. This specialist wash continues to break down stubborn residue and helps prevent future moss and fungal growth.
The biocide solution we use is microbiological, meaning it safely breaks down moss and stops regrowth over time. Once dry, it is completely safe for both humans and animals.
